Construction Alerts are prepared and distributed to project stakeholders to provide updates about new construction activity. New updates will be posted to this page as they become available. Construction Alerts (Current)Alert #51 PERRIS — The Riverside County Transportation Commission and project partners continue constructing the 74-215 Interchange (also known as the 4th Street Interchange). Lane reductions will be required to allow construction crews to activate the newly installed traffic signals on 4th Street and Wilkerson Avenue. During this time, traffic signals at 4th Street and Redlands Avenue will be set on flash mode to allow for signal synchronization. The newly activated traffic signals will be in operation by the middle of the week, weather permitting. Closures are required as follows, weather and contractor’s resources permitting:

The project will pave the way for better traffic flow, easier access to downtown Perris and improved connections to both north and south Interstate 215. The project will replace the current two-lane bridge over the freeway with an eight-lane bridge, realign freeway ramps, widen streets, replace stop signs with traffic signals, add a sidewalk north of the bridge and build residential sound walls.
